[C38] Commodore

It is with a bit of a heavy heart I accepted Larry's request to become
Commodore. Larry has been an excellent Commodore over the past years,
with an infectious humor and enthusiasm. His Trans Pac adventures were
inspiring to us all and... the terrible fire on Hassle... a somber
reminder. While Larry is stepping down, he has promised to remain an
avid supporter of the Association and of C38s! In fact, we are cooking
up an idea for 2012 that could be quite interesting! Thank you again
Larry for your leadership and commitment.

Now to business, our Association is critically short of officers! I am
a "team" player to the very core and am looking for some folks to step
forward to keep our organization alive and thriving. Our Treasurer,
Steve Orton, and I will be contacting folks regarding vacancies in the
very near future and we hope you can help out. We cannot do this alone!

In the meantime, I will continue to administer the website and
listserve. My son, Anders, is just about ready to run out our new
website which should be a real improvement. I am trying to gather up
the Technical Editor articles authored by our incredible former editor,
Tom Troncalli and hopefully will have them available. We also will have
a "members only" area which will contain location information so we
wandering lovers of our wonderful boats can more easily connect.

Much, much more later. Thanks again Larry!
Chuck Finn
