I have the entry level TackTick.  I gave up trying to get it to transmit
from the top of the mast.  Great technology but tall aluminum masts seem to
block the sending signal.  I installed the sensor/sender on a stainless pole
from the transome about 8' up from the deck.  Works great there but
obviously not the ideal spot to monitor the wind.  My B&G WIND indicator
goes round and round but doesn't read.  Gave up on that one too.

knot wind and chart plotters with nema 0183 and 2000.  There stuff is great
easy to install and easy to use. I have a 5208 and 540 on peregrine  if I
didn't have those three big round signets on my bulkhead I'd switch them out
for the garmins.
