I would give David Epstine a call and get some new Nexus instruments, I
would avoid wireless though, I think you are just looking for problems with
wireless.

Hi Rick mine works fine from the masthead, so don't understand why you
should have a problem. It is weird that it works OK from a pole on your
transom. That would seem to indicate that the sender is correctly tuned to
the receiver.
They are just down the road from me. I'm away this week. If in the meantime
you can send me some exact details of how you installed it at the mast head
and model/serial numbers, when I get back I will pop round to them and
brainstorm it.
Where are you based?
Hopefully we can sort it out.
All the best.. Mark.

I have the entry level TackTick. I gave up trying to get it to transmit
from the top of the mast. Great technology but tall aluminum masts seem to
block the sending signal. I installed the sensor/sender on a stainless pole
from the transome about 8' up from the deck. Works great there but
obviously not the ideal spot to monitor the wind. My B&G WIND indicator
goes round and round but doesn't read. Gave up on that one too.

> Larry. The ones that come to mind quickly and expensively are b&g and tack
tick. I have no experience with either. Do look at garmin they have depth
knot wind and chart plotters with nema 0183 and 2000. There stuff is great
easy to install and easy to use. I have a 5208 and 540 on peregrine if I
didn't have those three big round signets on my bulkhead I'd switch them out
for the garmins.
