Steve,

    No ABYC requirement for diesel engines only for gas engines, so they
are just an added bit of safety should there be a leak in the exhaust
system.

	Interesting question came up for the need for the blower on our
C38s.  Is it a coast guard requirement or another reason they have a
blower for the engine compartment?  I am thinking of removing it during
my control panel upgrade and wanted to check out why they are there.
