[C38] Found a good engine here- Is it too big???

Steve, weight is not a concern because the engine I have is heavier than any
other of my options, but here I do need some extra hp when I have to motor
on the channels here and wind starts blowing at my nose at +35knt... That
drops my speed from 5knts to 1.5, and I can't afford to loose the high
tide.... Regular crossings on the gulf from one side to the other usually
goes from just two hours to four, so, that's when I really need more power
from my engine... I might keep mine and just overhaul it, but if get a good
deal from the engines her, I'll go for it!!
I usually cruise at 5knts, my engine won't rev more than 2100 under power,
but maybe, is because my prop has too much pitch. I'm using a two blade
14x14... If I push the engine beyond 1800, some white smoke will start
coming out of the exhaust...
Regards,
Max
