Wow! Like Tom, I have never heard of such survival!   Perhaps a good 
strategy for Larry would be to run his motor at as low an engine rpm as 
possible!  This might help with the overheating as the starter is 
probably putting out over 100 amps at its lowest speed!  Can't believe 
it will last, but we are all pulling for it!
