Suzanne,
Light wind and chop our boats hobby horse. We do quite well in 8 to
10 knots with a smooth sea. Of couse if you have let a ton and a half of
gear creep aboard - you will get a bad case of the slows in light air.
We put some top crew on Macavity getting ready for the San Diego Nood
regatta. They took 3 dock cart loads of gear off. Of course it went into
my storage shed just in time to burn in the Jesusita Fire but it was
re-incarnated in the form of 3 electric winches. Joe Launie/Macavity
> It's nice to know. We only become competitive when it's at 30 kts. Tough for sure. Lylite will stand when the others are reefed and off the wind. We cannot make dent in the fleet in light winds or smooth seas but give us some wind and seas and we're smoking and more importantly, feel safe. C38s are incredible boats. It's good to hear that our boats are still appreciated.
