It's Dan, I think I will be able to have some of my Wednesday night crew. I think I would rather go non spinnaker and possibly fly 2 headsails. That's what we've done on the Wednesday night racing and we're pretty good at it. The boat didn't come with much and I have been buying some used sails and gear to get a decent inventory. I lost a nice spinnaker pole last year and am just finishing up making a replacement. I bought a decent spinnaker off ebay but have not flown it yet. We are plannng to go spinnaker next year.
I'm sure the West Coast guys can fit in somewhere. I'll send in my form tomorrow (Fri.) for 2 days of racing.
I'm shoal draft, let me know about the slip. My other option is to anchor out in Mill Creek near Bob and Cindi's. I am planning on bringing the boat down on the 5th so I will need the slip for 4 nights. On Friday I can take out Phil and his crew and possibly Rich and his wife if everything falls into place.
Getting excited, can't wait to sail against other 38's.

Hey gang
I'm down with signing up for both days. I should be ok on crew to fly a chute so just let me know.
Mike I'm around all day Sunday this weekend if you or anyone want to get together for a drink, sat I'm stuck at work pretty late.
Dan I'm sure I can come up with a slip  that would work well for you, my boat is in the heart of Eastport and there might be a slip open in my marina. Are you a deep keel? I will ask around.
I sent an email to race committee today to make sure they would give us a one design with 3 boats. I still think it would be great to have more!!! Hint hint. 4 or 5 boats no spinnaker would work for me.

Cheers.

Brett, Dan, Rob, Rich and Phil,
Lets sign up, and why not for both days, that's 3 boats and we have our own class start. Rob Cornelson is here and another C38 Paul Nelson on my river, although they may not have crew. Rich and Phil can come along on the race if they want, I assume we all need crew. We can decide on flying spinnakers or not, or just do it when the others are not looking. Sounds like fun and of course we can get together at one of the Annapolis watering holes, Brett knows them all.

Hi Brett, it's Dan up on Middle River with C38 #108. I'm going to try to do the regatta. We have a Region 1 race in Havre De Grace on Oct 1 and then we have Region 1 Glenmars Sailing Assoc. Frigid Digit on the 15th.

Woud we have a start on both the 8th and 9th? If we only have 2 boats would we get to start with another class or do they put us in a start like PHRF?

We were suppose to meet this summer but our wakes never crossed.

To Richard and Phil, My wife and I will be at the Boat Show on Thursday Oct 6. I keep our boat in Middle River which is 5 hours away from Annapolis on a good day. If I could find a cheap slip, I could possibly bring the boat down on Wednesday the 5th, go to the Show on the 6th, take anyone out on the 7th and do the regatta on the 8th and 9th. Sounds like a full plate but I'll see what I can do.

Brett, where do you keep your boat and do you know how much a slip might be?

Hey fellow C38 owners
This is Brett from Annapolis with "Jazz" I'm just looking to see if anyone wants to join me in the Good Old Boat Regatta this year. Michael, Pam and I did it a few years back and we had our own start. I think it would be great to get our boats back out there and have a fun race. I will try not to send my spinnaker up sideways again which I still hope there are no pictures of.

Let me know what you all think. The race is  oct 8th  and 9th. It would be great to meet some of you and see each others boats.

Cheers

Brett
