[C38] winch handles under dodger

Max:
The winch handles on Descreet Charm will not make a full revolution
for the main halyard, on the fight side, beneath the dodger, and barely
make it for the main sheet on the left side. I use a short handle and do
a back and forth motion, which works well. I could unzip the front
window pane for more room, if needed.
By the way, wash off the zippers and pulls with fresh water after
every sail. We lost several pulls to corrosion owing to my ignorance of
the need for fresh water rinsing.
As you saw in the images that I sent, the bottom of our dodger
slides into an aluminum extrusion, which is screwed down. Ours is a very
expensive, very professional dodger courtesy of the previous owner. In
the cold water of San Francisco Bay and northern California, the
protection afforded by this beautiful piece of equipment is worth the cost.
     Good luck with your project!

regards, Don
