and should be able to help with your head gasket. He saved me a bunch on my
circulation cooling pump which came through Kubota instead of Universal.

Alrighty then , I have the head off , which was not really a hard job ,
just time . The marine store wants 175.00 for a head gasket , Kubota wants
50.00 but the parts guy wasn't that helpful . He needs the engine # 5424 is
not good enough and Universals serial # won't work for him. 
  Any thoughts , the engine # is supposed to be stamped on the block ,
where ?
