Mark: The only place I know of in this country to get a quadrent is Edson. I think there is a German or English mfg who makes a gear driven unit but I don't remember their name.

Just in case...does anyone on the listserve know where I can locate a 2.860 bore quadrant or preferrably a radial drive wheel (8" radius, 16" diameter). I just discovered that the quadrant that came with the pedestal steering system I bought, is too small. It is a 10" radius, but only a 1.875" bore (there isn't enough material around the existing bore to enlarge it to 2.863 - Edson says they overbore by .003 for clearance).

Minney's big west coast sway meet is June 3rd in Costa Mesa...perhaps I can find one there.

I recall reading that our rudder post dimension is 1 7/8" (1.875in). Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

As many of you may recall, we had a very successful Burgee sale a while back and I have received a couple requests of late that we do it again (they do wear out)!
I have also had some inquiries regarding C38 caps and even decals.

I am proposing we set up a website Ships Store, where members can purchase these items using our credit card system (just like dues). My thinking would be to maintain an inventory of items and perhaps ship things out every week or so (we all go sailing!).

As you know, our Treasurer Steve Orton says we have the money (inventory costs in advance).

So, let me know if this is a good idea! Specifically:

    1. Developing a Ships Store
    2. Offering Burgees
    3. Offering C38 Caps
    4. Offering C38 Decals
    5. Anything else?

Let us know what you think!
