What about putting together a maintenance manual for the C-38? 

For example, what to do when getting on and off (i.e. closing through hull fitting). 

Intermittent deals:  check oil, water, batteries?, antifireeze, check  for water in fuel separator 

? annual....change oil, filter. 

I have the start (finish?) of such a manual.

Good idea!  Anders and I have talked and he will be putting together the option on our website for members to submit information and pictures that will be available ONLY within the members area.  By having this information only available to members, we think people might be more forthcoming regarding contact information as we NEVER share our data!   Folks will be able to update their info as well. 

We will also be posting information on the website regarding or upcoming San Francisco World's Cup Catalina 38 Rendezvous/Race. 

I will be sending another message separately to try and keep clean message threads.

All,  I'm putting a request out for our annual dues of $25 mailed or $26 Paypal.  I'm quit late with this request, because I've been struggling with the amount in our treasury.  Unlike the USA, we are carrying a surplus of approximately $1400- our annual expenses have been approximately $1300 and nonprofits aren't suppose to carry a surplus.  A consensus of the CAT 38 officers suggest we need to keep the dues the same and offer more programs to benefit the association.  So please send Commodore Chuck Finn your suggestions!  Actually May is a good month for dues collection as of July 10th, I need to send into the MAINSHEET all addresses for the next magazine mailing.  If you are paying using Paypal, go to the CAT 38 web site and follow directions.  To use snail mail, send $25 to:
