Hey Steve,

I set up the J-133 for the owner to single hand Tenacity here in So Cal. Snatch blog allowed Gil to douse a few seconds faster than the tie off method. 2000 sq. ft kite in that sock!

Delivery went really well. Portland to San Diego. Crossing the Colombia Bar was amazing! We were 37 ft and the restriction that day was 30 ft and under.
Other than a 4 day weather stop in Astoria, we fuelled in Brookings and Pillar Point for one night each.
First time at sea for the owner, wife and 25 yr. old son!! (Lots of courage) We were 4 total.
Pillar to SD is 450nm and they wanted to make it a non stop. Big winds/seas off Arguello, by then they were seasoned sailors..!

I'm taking the boat and owner to Panama in October/November.
Will be my second Canal transit! Really excited!

Hope you and your family are well. I know Peregrine is fine!

Cheers-Jeffry

Good idea Jeff, I've always just tied ours off at the base. How did your delivery go?

  Hi Larry,

A good idea for sailing with a sock is to put a snatch shackle on the take hoist/down loop and secure it to the deck. Makes for much easier hoisting's/take downs.

Prevents the loop from floating away from your reach..

  Cheers!

Thanks Don, I guess that's the way they are attached. LOL I'll learn for
sure by a mistake or two, I think I'll take the whole package by Quantum
Sails in Long Beach first and have them check it out and give me their
advice as well. The shackle for the halyard just looks really small to take
the load of a spinnaker on the one I borrowed.
