Good idea Jeff, I've always just tied ours off at the base. How did

Hi Larry,
A good idea for sailing with a sock is to put a snatch shackle on the
take hoist/down loop and secure it to the deck. Makes for much easier
hoisting's/take downs.
Prevents the loop from floating away from your reach..

sure by a mistake or two, I think I'll take the whole package by
Quantum
Sails in Long Beach first and have them check it out and give me
their
advice as well. The shackle for the halyard just looks really
small to take
the load of a spinnaker on the one I borrowed.
