[C38] Bilge

On a related topic I had a revelation about the leak I thought I had from
my aft port shroud/chainplate. Per our string last Fall or Winter the cabin
side of the wall common to the head is always wet under and behind the
cushions.  I have assumed the cause was the chainplate or the leaky
towrail.  But, as I tore the boat apart after last week's race (yes by the
way, another First Place for Team C38!! (78th running of the Monhegan Race,
25h:38m)) I came to the realization that when healed to port (read:
broached) the bilge water will flow to the low side and wet the
cushions...which wick the water to the woodwork, etc., etc.

So my question is, has anyone ever tried to add a bulkhead between the
bilge and lockers under the port settee?
