[C38] Something to check

Life lines, yes they do get rusted with the pretty white coating on them.
We came to the stark realization in 09 when the Trans Pac YC's rules stated
that you had to have uncoated life lines.  Mine of course were the pretty
white coated ones.  Just another expense I thought until one of our crew
was leaning against the coated life line and it broke, it was rusted out!
Fortunately this happened at the dock so no one went overboard.  Food for
thought here folks.
