[C38] main sheet question

Don, attached are pictures of what I did, you can trim by hand for the
most part I set it up to double end the main sheet in the cockpit on
each side to a winch, with one side also having a stopper. You could do
the same with a single winch and no stopper too. On the boom aft is a
double and a triple on the traveler, then led forward to a single at the
mast, down to the deck and then aft. It is nice having all those
triangles off the deck and boom.

Bruce: I have a standard main sheet rig that goes from the boom and
traveler to a winch on the top of the house, on my C38. Watching your
Harken video I saw a couple of purchases that had more mechanical
advantage. It would be cool to haul the main sheet by hand rather than
by the winch. Could I go to 4x or something with a 4x block on the
traveler and another couple of blocks on the boom? Advice appreciated.
Thanks, Don

loved our C38s and are proud to be a part of such a knowledgeable group
that's so willing to share.
