Hello Everyone,
I¹m replacing the engine control cables in the steering pedestal and while
I¹m in there planning to lubricate whatever I can find. I¹ve got the Edson
instruction for how to loosen the steering cable at the quadrant in order to
slide the chain out of the way in the pedestal. Just wondering if anyone has
any further advice, and if I should plan on replacing the needle bearings on
the steering shaft, or if just greasing them is enough. I haven¹t noticed
any problem with the wheel. Also wondering if it¹s worth replacing the brake
shoes on the manual brake for the steering shaft. Mostly, I let the
autopilot dampen the steering and haven¹t missed the break much, even though
it¹s been ineffective for years.

Thanks!
