[C38] Below Deck Autopilot Mounting

Max not the best pictures but you can get an idea I think.  The jeffa drive is forward of the rudder post and is the black box, the computer is to starboard and is the grey box

Hi Joey,   here is a pic for a hydraulic ram mounted on a C38.. Since it had to be mounted parallel with the boat's center line, the rudder stop had to be modified...

 

Steve, could you please send a pic of your new setup??  Which autopilot brand are you using? Had any compatibility issues with he Jeffa motor?

Just  did mine and your right, there is not room, had to take back the hydraulic ram for my unit and bought a jeffa  electric drive motor form PYI,  barely fits in front of the steering and aft of the water heater on the new  shelf that  had to be built.

I'm looking for ideas on how to mount a below deck autopilot ram. There doesn't seem to be very many options and was hoping someone had drawings or photos of a proven design. Any help would be much appreciated.
