As of September 2014, we have $914.70 in the Chase Bank, Cat38 account and $3113.59 in the PayPal account.  All checks for expenses are written from the Chase account.  We have made one transfer of $500 to the Chase account from PayPal since the inception of using PayPal to collect dues.  PayPal collects a fee of $1.05 for each dues payment of $26.  Their are no charges for the Chase account, except for books of checks. 


As of June 30th, 2014, we had 47 US members and 7 off shore members.  Our biggest expense is about $200 quarterly for the MAINSHEET magazine and $120 annually for the Cat 38 web server.  To date 29 members have paid their dues for 2014-15 year, of which 15 new members I don't have addresses for.   These are new members who pay through PayPal but don't forward their address info to me.


PayPal has been very good for our association, particularly for off shore members, but It has presented challenges for the Web Master and Treasurer.  The biggest problem is the treasurer presently does not have direct access to the PayPal account.  Therefore in a sense we have made the web master a part time treasurer with the official treasurer leaning heavily on him.  This needs to be worked on.


In an upcoming email, I'll list the members who haven't paid yet and the members whose address I don't have.
