Tom,
I live at the edge of the forest in the foothills above Santa
Barbara in Mission Canyon. It is 5 minutes from the city but actually
quite rural and isolated which is why we like it. The average home in
Mission Canyon is valued at $1,400,000 with lots going for $1,000,000
per acre. There have been some burglaries in our neighborhood and rumors
of a home invasion. The local sherrifs department told folks from our
Canyon homeowner's association that their advice was for us to get guns.
I got a Ruger M-14, Nato caliber. Any questions? Joe PS In the service I
was on the battalion pistol team firing the M1911 .45 pistol
competitively. I tend to hit what I am aiming at.
