Steve,
Before you get too far down the road with this project I suggest
you try to get to Santa Barbara to see Macavity. Since the Jesusita Fire
destroyed my spin pole and racing sails, I have totally re-rigged the
boat. New standing rigging, new electric Harken winches (3) - change
from symettric to assy chutes etc. I had also made many changes below in
the cabinetry making the interior much warmer to the eye. I had another
C-38 owner come up for a sail and he put up the main. He could not
believe how easy it was. The main halyard is 2 to 1. Little thing but
big effect. Joe P S all blocks on the boat are Harken.
