Pierre, are you sure it’s the bushings and not the lubricant on the lines?

Subject: [C38] Pedestal throttle/transmission bushings

Hello again

Back in 2015 I wrote about my need to replace the Delrin bushings in the pedestal since it was getting harder to shift the transmission and to throttle the engine. Like an idiot I forgot where I got the replacements so I had to start the search again (found: Edson part number 960-A-125 ). So they basically last about five-six years. Is that normal or am I missing a maintenance step? No amount of lubricant made a difference when I took the levers apart. It also took a fair amount of convincing to get the shafts out ( https://edsonmarine.com/engine-control-shaft-assembly-for-870st-45-960-a-938 ).

Expected behavior?

Thanks
