Hi Larri.
I have always had this little dribble come down the inside of the must and cause a slight dribble in the little recessed channel in the mast step.
It only seems to happen in prolonged heavy rain.

The first year 2004 ut cauaed a real problem because itnwas hudden from view and seeped into the undersude ofnthenwould flooring causing the area of floor around the mast to rot.
I cut out the the rotten wood and then made a neat job of covering it with the plastic net/mesh you can be in Lowes or similar that isbusedbto cover rain gutters so leaves and debris dont get n.
I have found leaving uttnexpised to the air this way, any dribbles evapaporate quickly, or I just lift the mesh and sponge it out.

It doesn't touch anything than be famaged so not causing a problem.

Subject: [C38] Question

My mast seems to have a small leak coming into the footing in the cabin. There is of curse a kind of tray where it is tied in, I have got to most of the tray and dried it out but to the port it’s a bit hard to get to. Any suggestions? Also, has anyone experienced a leak from inside the mast into the cabin as I have describer? Any suggestions for this would be appreciated as well. My very best to all for this Holiday Season! Stay safe, care for your families and of course, on top of the water.
