[C38] Prop Question

Larry,
We have a 2 blade MaxProp and love it. I wish I had gotten the three
blade. The 3 blade provides more power in rough seas and will stop the
boat in a very short distance in reverse. We sailed with folding props
in the past and could not back up. We also would have the problem of one
blade not unfolding and vibrating until it did. The max-prop is just as
efficient in reverse as forward and has low drag when racing. It is
expensive but I think it is well worth the money. If you get one, be
certain to check with the distributor to get the proper pitch. You can
change the pitch in the water with the new max-props.Congratulations on
sailing into the slip. It is always pucker time when you do that, no
matter how often you have done it. Joe Launie, Commodore, Macavity
