[C38] Knott Transducer

Splicing a transducer lead should not be a problem.  The transducer sends
very low voltage signals to the instrument so if the cable is lengthened or
shortened it will change the values of the signal but that is a minor
problem and insignificant unless a lot of wire length or wire size is
changed.

 Can you trim calibrate the instrument in use to adjust?  I have seen some
speedometers that could be adjusted, like the old SR Mariner series.
