Joe , my 38 has a key for starting and a switch for the glow plug and
blower, now my 30 had a button that when pushed started the engine. It
also was slow to start for a couple of years then failed. When I put a
new button in the engine started so much faster, you can get the start
buttons at west marine.

*Hi,
I am having trouble with my starter button for the engine. I have
difficulty often getting it started. My mechanic who has much more hand
strength has no trouble. Is this a bad button or weak operator? Has
anyone else had the same experience? Joe Launie, Macavity

Joe; sounds like a bad button. My wife starts aour engine all the time
and she has bad hands. Better try a new button Before it fails at a bad
time. (like an oil tanker closing fast)

I don't think I have a "button"....The "button" just heats the glow
plugs...key starts engine.
