[C38] Radio GPS connections

Hi Paul,

I don't know the wire connections on your radio and GPS but assuming you have them connected properly your problem may be communications between the two units. My Garmin GPS hookup to a Standard Horizon VHF requires 4800 baud and no parity on the GPS. Does your Uniden manual tell the required GPS connection specifications?

Both units need to be on the "same sheet of music" and the GPS export setup should let you change the parameters to meet the specifications of the Uniden VHF.

If the radio displays the info of the channel your tuned to...it may be as simple as pushing a button on the radio to have it switch over to lat. and long. I have a cordless mic. and find that feature helpful all the info is displayed on the cordless. On mine I push in the channel button to switch between thoses features.
