[C38] Transmission Shift problem

I am glad yours works. 

Mine loosened at the transmission lever.  There's a metal plate with two bolts...one came out.  the bolt would not screw in.  ?Stripped.  I could not tap it so I screwed bolt in with a locking nut.  Works.

Patrick, I gradually lost the ability to shift last year and came in hot to a dock where 5 people caught me just before running over a Lindberg 28 (which was one of my key competitors). Anyway, the cause was that the U bracket that holds the shift cable to the angle iron arm at the back of the transmission was loose so that the cable had no purchase.  I tightened the two bolts and haven't had a problem since.
