[C38] Hot Water Heater

As mentioned in the other posts most of our boats have the 6 gallon tank
aft of the engine, attached photo shows mine (sort of) looking from the
starboard cutout.  If you install this one a good idea is to put a valve
on the supply line so that you can disconnect the heater for removal
with out having water go everywhere.  You may need to install a shelf in
that location to support the tank if there is not already one installed.
I take mine out for long races and the valve makes putting it in and
taking it out a lot easier.

I've got a 1981 C38. Bought her in August of 2013. I'm putting in a new
hot water heater. The old one was an instant-on CNG unit in the
lazarette. I was planning on installing a square 6 gallon AC/Heat
Exchanger model in the same area. I was wondering what other owners are
